As we get ready for cookie season, we have some important updates about this year’s booth sale. To help out any troops new to cookie sales, we have put together a sample cookie sales notes that troop leaders can modify to send out to their troops: 2018 cookie season troop notes.
Keep reading for important notes on booth locations, the community cookie costume, and our booth sales predictor.
Note that page 16 of the leaders guide is incorrect, the correct troop proceeds are:

Permits and Locations
Deb is working on securing permits from necessary municipalities. Current businesses on the College permit include Walmart Benner Pike and Sam’s Club. Corner Room will be included on the Borough permit as will be Dunkin Donuts. Please let her know if there are any other businesses where the girls sell outdoors that should be included. Indoor sales, such as the mall, do not need to be included. Door to door sales will included in the Ferguson permit like it was last year.
The following locations will be booked through ebudde and should NOT be approached by individual troops:
- 5 Below
- 5 Guys
- Ace Hardware
- Corner Room
- Dunkin Donuts (all locations)
- Nittany Mall
- Sams Club
- Schlow Library
- Student Book
- Texas Roadhouse
- Tractor Supply
- Walmart Benner Pike and Atherton Street – both doors
- Weis Westerly Parkway
A big thank you to Karen Bair for coordinating booth sales with council and the local businesses! Note that some of these locations are still pending confirmation. All locations that are confirmed will be in eBudde for sign up on Jan 9.
As you prepare for your initial cookie order and your booth sales, it might be helpful to know how many cases you need. Review our Cookie Booth Sales Data and be sure to submit your data after your booths! Our predictor only works if YOU provide us with your sales data.
Keep in mind that past performance is NOT always indicative of future results. State College Girl Scouts makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of any provided sales prediction and it is your responsibility to use our booth sales predictor responsibly. If you notice predictions that are way out of wack, please let us know so we can investigate.
We understand that council is going to ask for booth sales data as well. Please note that we do not have access to their data, so you will need to enter it twice if you want us to be able to continue to do sales predictions.
If you need an excuse to show your girls how math solves real world problems, the Cookie Sales predictor is a good example.
