Camp Updates and Plans

It is hard to believe that it has been over a year since the service unit has been to camp. While 2021 will certainly present new challenges, we are happy to share our plan for camp 2021. We are pleased to welcome David Nicastro (Troop 40170) as our Camp Committee Chair.

We are currently planning on a “Daisy Day” event at one of the state parks scheduled for either April or May. This will be a half day event that will focus on outdoor skills and traditions for our youngest scouts. If you have Juniors who are looking to earn their Junior Aide, please contact the camp committee. An exact date will be selected once we have a better idea of how April and May will look.

At this point in time, we are not planning a spring or summer service unit camporee. Instead, we will focus on supporting troop level outings. The camp committee will be putting together resources such as sample activity plans, flag and ash ceremony instructions, etc and making these available to our troop leaders. If your troop is looking to plan an outdoor event (either overnight or day only) and you need help, please reach out to us.

If you would like more information about any of these programs or to help, please email the camp committee at
