Campership Fund

We realize that while the costs of camp and other fees related to Girl Scouting keep increasing, our incomes and the amount of financial aid available from Council are not necessarily keeping up. We believe that attending camp is an important part of Girl Scouting and that the experience can have a tremendous positive impact on the lives of girls.

“A week at camp is worth a year in the boardroom.” – Lord Baden Powell, Founder of Scouting

To that end the Camp Planning Committee intends to start a “Campership Fund.” This fund would be used exclusively to help girls with financial need attend Community 416 Camporees.

We are currently seeking volunteers to form a Campership Committee that would be in charge of organizing money-earning activities (within the scope of and with guidance from Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA) to fund the Camperships as well as determining how Camperships should be awarded.

We are also soliciting community feedback on this project. If you would like to help in any way, please contact us at

If you feel that you or your daughter may benefit from this project, please stay tuned for more information as this project develops.

Banking Tips: Print Your Own Deposit Slips

If you find yourself running out of deposit slips for your troop, you can print your own. Download this DepositSlip template (or this template) and fill in your bank and account information. If you want to look more official, you can download and install a MICR Encoding font (available for free) to make the account and routing numbers look like they appear on your checks. It is not necessary to get special paper to print the deposit slips on, but the tellers do appreciate it if you cut them out.
