We are a troop of girls entering 5th grade from all different elementary schools. We meet two Sunday afternoons a month for regular meetings and sometimes more often, depending on special activities. We like to be outside and active as much as possible – going on hikes, enjoying community resources, volunteering, and learning new things. We like to see how we can make a difference in the world around us and are specifically focused on the environment and helping local homeless and children in the foster care system.
Troop 40082 is a new Junior Troop (bridging from Brownies) comprised of fourth grade girls from various elementary schools. Our regular meetings will begin again in September and are held in Lemont every other Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. This year we are learning more about ourselves as we build individual, teamwork, and citizenship skills and strive to make a positive impact beyond our group. While our troop enjoys outdoor activities, crafts, and singing around the campfire, we are also excited to explore STEM learning opportunities! We welcome interested fourth grade girls who would like to join in our adventure.
