3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Spring Creek Park
Uniform Class A
Girl Scouts and their families are invited to our Bridging and Investiture Ceremony on September 30th from 3 – 6 PM at Spring Creek Park.
Bridging is the way that girls transition from their previous Girl Scout level to their new one – Daisies become Brownies, Brownies fly up to Juniors, Juniors bridge to Cadettes, Cadettes become Seniors, and finally Seniors become Ambassadors.
Investiture is a ceremony to welcome new girl members and adult volunteers to the world of Girl Scouting.
Re-dedication provides existing Girl Scouts an opportunity to renew their commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
Our ceremony will begin with bridging. Older girls will bridge first and then help the younger girls move up to their next level. Then we’ll celebrate the Investiture of new Girl Scouts. Finally, we’ll rededicate all of our existing Girl Scout members. All participants should wear their uniform sash/vest, white shirt, and khaki bottoms.
All Girl Scouts (even those not bridging) serve an important role in this ceremony as we Respect Ourselves and Others and act as a Sister to Every Scout.
Families are encouraged to attend to help our girls celebrate their important milestones in scouting.
After the ceremony we’ll share in a pot-luck picnic. Please bring a covered dish, snack item, dessert, or beverage to share with the group. Paper products will be provided.
Attendees can purchase an optional fun patch for $1 (register before September 24th to be guaranteed patches for your group) at the event.
Note: Service Unit 416 will not provide any uniforms, membership stars, bridging awards, or other uniform insignia.
All girls should be accompanied by a parent/guardian or troop leaders following GSHPA adult/girl ratios. Non-scout siblings and friends must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
